Guerra Technologies is a competent and long time partner of Infineon Technologies, hence possessing an extremely profound knowledge of Infineon's state of the art RF (Bipolar and BiCMOS) technologies. Furthermore, Guerra Technologies has shown on numerous occasions their ability to offer more than just ASIC design skills to an end customer, their company also has a strong tradition in handling in very fast turn-around times a complete turnkey solution to meet a diverse number of business models.

On behalf of LinCom I would like to extend our appreciation for the extraordinary work produced by Guerra Technologies engineers. Guerra’s engineering team significantly reduced LinCom’s development time to prototypes for the RFIC associated with its 802.11 a, b, g product from 24 months to 12 months. Guerra’s ability to work under the most challenging of times while dealing with extremely complex issues speaks volumes about Guerra’s commitment to excellence. LinCom benefited on a number of fronts such as improving Time to Market for its product line, enhancing its engineering team (with trust), and supporting LinCom’s engineering and operational goals.
During the early stages of the company, LinCom elected to not employ “outsourcing” services. As result of market pressures, competition and limited expertise in the area of RFIC design, the company made the difficult decision to enlist the help of a third party to develop the RFIC portion of its product. After extensive research and exhaustive interviews with third party engineering services firms, Guerra Technologies was selected because their customers spoke so highly about them and because of their technical expertise and experience with high volume RFIC production. And I too can speak about their performance, which underscores why they have been successful for over a decade. We appreciate their dedication, quality of workmanship, product quality, attention to deal and customer satisfaction.

I worked with Guerra Technologies on an ASIC project for an RFID product. The ASIC needed to be low-cost but with RF performance in excess of anything on the market at that time. We had developed discrete-device prototypes before coming to Guerra, so the overall device specifications were well defined. However, because the project had severe time pressures, we needed to cut through the traditional spec-design-review loops. Guerra approached the problem collaboratively, providing not just ASIC design services but system design expertise and first prototype design capabilities that materially aided our time-to-market. Guerra provided both design expertise and invaluable guidance in dealing with the chip vendor's processes and procedures. The ASIC contained an upconverter with an on-chip phase-locked oscillator that upconverted an S-band signal to C-band. The phase noise of the resulting LO was better than anything on the market at that time; moreover, I've not seen published integrated LOs with better phase noise since.
Guerra proved to be flexible, innovative and responsive partners in our project. I'm happy to recommend them for any RF or mixed-signal work.
